Requirement for CD4 T cell help in generating functional CD8 T cell memory
Devon J. Shedlock,Hao Shen +1 more
TL;DR: Results demonstrate a previously undescribed role for CD4 help in the development of functional CD8 memory and show that depletion of CD4 cells during the recall response has minimal effect, whereas depletion during the priming phase leads to reduced responses to reinfection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhancing CD8 T-cell memory by modulating fatty acid metabolism.
Erika L. Pearce,Matthew C. Walsh,Paloma Cejas,Gretchen M. Harms,Hao Shen,Li-San Wang,Russell G. Jones,Yongwon Choi +7 more
TL;DR: It is shown that tumour necrosis factor (TNF) receptor-associated factor 6 (TRAF6), an adaptor protein in the TNF-receptor and interleukin-1R/Toll-like receptor superfamily, regulates CD8 TM-cell development after infection by modulating fatty acid metabolism.
Journal ArticleDOI
Control of Effector CD8+ T Cell Function by the Transcription Factor Eomesodermin
Erika L. Pearce,Alan C. Mullen,Gislâine A. Martins,Connie M. Krawczyk,Anne S. Hutchins,Valerie P. Zediak,Monica Banica,Catherine B. DiCioccio,Darrick A. Gross,Chai An Mao,Hao Shen,Nezih Cereb,Soo Young Yang,Tullia Lindsten,Janet Rossant,Christopher A. Hunter,Steven L. Reiner +16 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that Eomesodermin is likely to complement the actions of T-bet and act as a key regulatory gene in the development of cell-mediated immunity.
Journal ArticleDOI
EZH2 Is Required for Germinal Center Formation and Somatic EZH2 Mutations Promote Lymphoid Transformation
Wendy Béguelin,Relja Popovic,Matt Teater,Yanwen Jiang,Karen L. Bunting,Monica Rosen,Hao Shen,Shao Ning Yang,Ling Wang,Teresa Ezponda,Eva Martinez-Garcia,Haikuo Zhang,Yupeng Zheng,Sharad K. Verma,Michael T. McCabe,Heidi M. Ott,Glenn S. Van Aller,Ryan G. Kruger,Yan Liu,Charles F. McHugh,David Scott,Young Rock Chung,Neil L. Kelleher,Rita Shaknovich,Caretha L. Creasy,Randy D. Gascoyne,Kwok-Kin Wong,Leandro Cerchietti,Ross L. Levine,Omar Abdel-Wahab,Jonathan D. Licht,Olivier Elemento,Ari Melnick +32 more
TL;DR: GC B cell (GCB)-type diffuse large B cell lymphomas (DLBCLs) are mostly addicted to EZH2 but not the more differentiated activated B cell(ABC)-type DLBCLS, thus clarifying the therapeutic scope of EZh2 targeting.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effector differentiation is not prerequisite for generation of memory cytotoxic T lymphocytes
N. Manjunath,Premlata Shankar,J. Wan,Wolfgang Weninger,Maura A. Crowley,K. Hieshima,Timothy A. Springer,Xin Fan,Hao Shen,Judy Lieberman,U H von Andrian +10 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that effector differentiation is not a prerequisite for memory cell generation, and T-GFP mice provide a simple means to generate memory cells in virtually unlimited numbers.
