Journal ArticleDOI

A possible new mechanism in the pathophysiology of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS): the discovery that leukocyte telomere length is strongly associated with PCOS.

TL;DR: This study suggests a new role for LTL in the pathophysiology of PCOS and might have important implications for the understanding of the etiology of the disease.
Journal ArticleDOI

Quantitative methylation level of the EPHX1 promoter in peripheral blood DNA is associated with polycystic ovary syndrome.

TL;DR: Direct evidence that methylation plays an important role in PCOS is provided and a novel role for EPHX1 in female reproduction is demonstrated, and knockdown and overexpression experiments in KGN cells showed that E PHX1 can regulate estradiol concentrations, and this indicates a role in steroidogenesis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Polymorphisms of pentanucleotide repeats (tttta)n in the promoter of CYP11A1 and their relationships to polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) risk: a meta-analysis

TL;DR: There may be an association between CYP11A1 promoter pentanucleotide repeat polymorphism and PCOS, according to case–control studies extracted from MEDLINE, Ovid EMBASE and PubMed and pooled for meta-analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nanozyme-strip for rapid and ultrasensitive nucleic acid detection of SARS-CoV-2

TL;DR: In this article , the authors combined recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) and FeS2 nanozyme strips to achieve facile nucleic acid amplification and subsequent colorimetric signal enhancement.
