Journal ArticleDOI

Knoevenagel, Wittig and Wittig-Horner reactions in the presence of magnesium oxide or zinc oxide

TL;DR: In this article, the Wittig-Horner reaction is competitive with Knoevenagel reaction, and the catalyst can be modified to give a highly selective reaction ; the addition of dimethylsulfoxide on MgO or heiamethylphosphoric triamide on ZnO gives more efficient catalysts for WittigHomer reaction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reactions de wittig, wittig-horner et knoevenagel par activation anionique avec l'alumine ou le fluorure de potassium depose sur l'alumine, sans solvant

TL;DR: Wittig, Wittig-Horner and Knoevenagel reactions are achieved in the presence of alumina or potassium fluoride supported on alumina, without organic solvent.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reaction de Knoevenagel et de Wittig-Horner En Presence D'oxydes Metalliques. Modification de la Selectivite Du Catalyseur Par Addition De Solvants Ou De Sels Metalliques

TL;DR: MgO et ZnO, modified by addition of a solvent or a metal salt, give very selective reactions by an interfacial solid-liquid process as mentioned in this paper, and they can be modified by adding either solvent or metal salt.
