Journal ArticleDOI

Oxidative stress causes heart failure with impaired mitochondrial respiration.

TL;DR: It is shown for the first time that the oxidative stress caused specific morphological changes of mitochondria, excess formation of superoxide, reduction of ATP, and transcriptional alterations of genes associated with heart failure in respect to cardiac contractility played a pivotal role in the development and progression of heart failure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel clonal strains from adult rat anterior pituitary producing S-100 protein

TL;DR: Three new clonal strains from adult rat anterior pituitaries were established by using the single cell-plating feeder layer method and reveal that the S-100 protein-producing cell is an independent cell type of the anterior pituitsary.
Journal ArticleDOI

Deciduous and Permanent Dental Pulp Mesenchymal Cells Acquire Hepatic Morphologic and Functional Features In Vitro

TL;DR: Because the cells proved to produce specific hepatic proteins and to start functions specific for hepatocytes, such as storing glycogen and urea production, it may be state that the mesenchymal cell cultures from wisdom and deciduous tooth pulp acquired morphologic and functional characteristics of hepatocytes.
