Gas transport characteristics in shale matrix based on multiple mechanisms

TL;DR: In this article, a new permeability model of shale matrix is derived based on rock and fluid properties, and its reliability is proved by using four methods, and the characteristics of matrix permeability are successfully analyzed by using this model and a simplified method of model application is given.
Journal ArticleDOI

Empirical methods of decline-curve analysis for shale gas reservoirs: Review, evaluation, and application

TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared six empirical models and 18 basic models by using actual production data and found that most empirical models are based on exponential or power functions, especially using the exponential function widely in recent years.
Journal ArticleDOI

Techno-economic and sensitivity analysis of shale gas development based on life cycle assessment

TL;DR: In this article, the economic benefits of shale gas resevoirs development were analyzed using an economy-geology-engineering (EGE) model, and the results showed that six researched wells all have economic benefits: the average EUR is 1.60 × 108 m3, and after-tax averages of net present value, financial internal rate of return and investment payback period (Pt) are 434.32 × 104 USD, 10.39% and 4.45 years respectively.
