TL;DR: In this article, the influence of Al2O3 inclusions on the localized corrosion behavior of Q460NH steel was investigated in a simulated marine environment, and it was shown that the catalytic-occluded cells and oxygen-concentration cell could accelerate the propagation of the pits.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stress corrosion cracking of E690 steel as a welded joint in a simulated marine atmosphere containing sulphur dioxide
TL;DR: Stress corrosion cracking behavior and mechanism of E690 welded joint in simulated marine atmosphere containing SO2 were investigated using SSRT method and electrochemical measurements Results showed that it had very high SCC susceptibility in this environment with a combined mechanism of anodic dissolution and hydrogen embrittlement (HE).
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of cathodic potentials on the SCC behavior of E690 steel in simulated seawater
TL;DR: In this paper, slow strain rate tensile tests, combined with fracture morphology observation and electrochemical measurements, were conducted to investigate the SCC behavior of E690 steel in simulated seawater at open circuit potential (OCP) and various cathodic potentials.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparative study of the SCC behavior of E690 steel and simulated HAZ microstructures in a SO2-polluted marine atmosphere
TL;DR: In this paper, slow strain rate tensile (SSRT) tests were implemented to investigate the stress corrosion cracking (SCC) behavior of E690 steel and the simulated HAZ microstructures in a SO 2 -polluted marine atmosphere.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of SO2 content on SCC behavior of E690 high-strength steel in SO2-polluted marine atmosphere
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of SO2 on stress corrosion cracking (SCC) behavior of E690 steel in SO2-polluted marine atmosphere was investigated in a simulated device.
