Novel three-dimensional halloysite nanotubes/silica composite aerogels with enhanced mechanical strength and low thermal conductivity prepared at ambient pressure

TL;DR: In this paper, a 3D halloysite nanotubes (HNTs)/silica composite aerogels were fabricated to strengthen the nanostructure and overcome inherent fragility of silica aerogel by a sol-gel method using tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) and 1,4-Phenylene diisocyanate (PPDI)-modified HNTs as the main materials, followed by an environmentally friendly ambient pressure drying (APD).
Journal ArticleDOI

SiBCN ceramic aerogel/graphene composites prepared via sol-gel infiltration process and polymer-derived ceramics (PDCs) route

TL;DR: The microstructure evolution of the prepared SiBCN ceramic aerogel/graphene composites and phase composition were studied by SEM, TEM and XRD, the pore structure of the preceramic composites pyrolyzed at 1200°C was tested by specific surface area and pore size analyzer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antimony-doped tin oxide embedding graphene-based aerogel for infrared barriering

TL;DR: In this paper, a hybrid three-dimensional network structure was composed by the electrostatic-driven self-assembly via sol-gel method, which contained antimony-doped tin oxide (ATO) particles and graphene oxide aerogel (GOA).
Journal ArticleDOI

SiBCN-ZrO2 hybrid ceramic aerogels through the polymer-derived ceramics (PDCs) route

TL;DR: The SiBCN-ZrO2 hybrid ceramic aerogels were fabricated by pyrolysis of preceramic aerogel prepared from Polyborosilane/Zirconium 5n-butoxide /Divinylbenzene (PSNB/ZBO/DVB) combining a simple hydrosilylation reaction with CO2 supercritical drying.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of SiC–TiO2 hybrid aerogel via supercritical drying combined PDCs route

TL;DR: The SiC-TiO 2 hybrid aerogels were obtained from polycarbosilane (PCS) and tetrabutyltitanate (TBT) as precursors using supercritical drying and polymer derived ceramics route as discussed by the authors.
