Organotin(IV) complexes derived from Schiff base N'-[(1E)-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)methylidene]pyridine-4-carbohydrazone: synthesis, in vitro cytotoxicities and DNA/BSA interaction.

TL;DR: Six trimethyltin(IV) coordination units are linked by the Sn⋯N weak interaction atoms and form a 72-membered crown-like macrocycle and reveal significant antiproliferative effects in cultured tumor cells, and their cytotoxic activity correlates with intracellular organotin( IV) concentration.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, structural characterization, in vitro cytotoxicities, DNA-binding and BSA interaction of diorganotin (IV) complexes derived from hydrazone Schiff base

TL;DR: In this paper, five diorganotin(IV) complexes of benzoylformic acid 3-hydroxy-2-naphthoyl hydrazone, [R2SnLY]2 (L.= 3-HO-C10H6CON2C(C6H5)CO2) with Y = H2O, R= CH3 (1), Y = EtOH, R = n-Bu (2), R = Ph 3 (3), R= O-Cl-Bz (4), Y= Et
Journal ArticleDOI

Four triarylantimony(V) carboxylates: syntheses, structural characterization and in vitro cytotoxicities

TL;DR: The results showed that most of these triarylantimony(V) complexes exhibited enhanced cytotoxicity compared with the ligand and four tri Darylantimony dichloride precursors, which clearly implied a positive synergistic effect.
