Functional Group Effect on Char Formation, Flame Retardancy and Mechanical Properties of Phosphonate–Triazine-based Compound as Flame Retardant in Epoxy Resin

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of flame-retardant thermosets were prepared by melt blending of phosphonate-triazine-based compound TNTP, triazine based compound TN, and phosphonates based compound TP, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and antitumor activity of novel quinazoline derivatives containing thiosemicarbazide moiety.

TL;DR: Series of novel derivatives of quinazoline containing thiosemicarbazide moiety 5 and 9 have been synthesized and tested for their antitumor activities in vitro against a panel of five human cancer cell lines.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, antitumor activity and mechanism of action of novel 1,3-thiazole derivatives containing hydrazide–hydrazone and carboxamide moiety

TL;DR: Flow cytometry analysis revealed that compounds T1 and T38 could induce apoptosis in HepG2 cells, and it was confirmed T38 led the induction of cell apoptosis by S cell-cycle arrest.
Journal ArticleDOI

Studies of O,O-Dimethyl α-(2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetoxy)ethylphosphonate (HW02) as a New Herbicide. 1. Synthesis and Herbicidal Activity of HW02 and Analogues as Novel Inhibitors of Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Complex

TL;DR: O,O-Dimethyl α-(2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetoxy)ethylphosphonate (I-5), which acted as a competitive inhibitor ofPDHc with much higher inhibitory potency against PDHc from Pisum sativum and Phaseolus radiatus than from Oryza sativa, was found to be the most effective compound against broadleaf weeds and showed potential utility as herbicide.
Journal ArticleDOI

The synthesis and characterization of a novel phosphorus–nitrogen containing flame retardant and its application in epoxy resins

TL;DR: A halogen-free, phosphorus-nitrogen containing flame retardant 2[4-(2,4,6-Tris{4-[(5,5-dimethyl-2-oxo-2λ5-[1,3,2]dioxaphosphinan-2yl)hydroxymethyl]phenoxy}-(1, 3,5)-triazine (TNTP) was successfully synthesized in a three-step process, and characterized by FTIR, NMR spectroscopy, mass spectra, and elemental analysis as discussed by the authors.
