Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of a prebiotic, Immunogen®, on feed utilization, body composition, immunity and resistance to Aeromonas hydrophila infection in the common carp Cyprinus carpio (Linnaeus) fingerlings.
Gh. Ebrahimi,Hossein Ouraji,Mohammadkazem Khalesi,M. Sudagar,A. Barari,M. Zarei Dangesaraki,K. H. Jani Khalili +6 more
TL;DR: It is revealed that a dietary Immunogen supplementation from 1 to 1.5 g/kg is capable to improve the feed efficiency and growth performance of C. carpio fingerlings as well as their resistance to A. hydrophila infection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Growth performance, body composition, hematological, and serum biochemical responses of beluga (Huso huso) juveniles to different dietary inclusion levels of faba bean (Vicia faba) meal
TL;DR: The results indicated that FBM can be used successfully in the diet of farmed beluga juveniles up to 10 % without adverse effects on growth performance, survival, hematological, and serum biochemical parameters.
Journal Article
Growth performance and body composition of kutum fingerlings, Rutilus frisii kutum (Kamenskii 1901),in response to dietary protein levels
Ghaffar Ebrahimi,Hossein Ouraji +1 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that the growth performance and feed utilization of kutum were significantly affected by dietary protein level, and could be beneficial in order to formulate artificial feed for aquaculture of kUTum fingerlings.
Journal ArticleDOI
One step toward aquaculture sustainability of a carnivorous species: Fish meal replacement with barley protein concentrate plus wheat gluten meal in Caspian brown trout (Salmo trutta caspius)
Amine Zaretabar,Hossein Ouraji,Abdolmohammad Abedian Kenari,Sakineh Yeganeh,Moha Esmaeili,Abdolsamad Keramat Amirkolaee +5 more
TL;DR: Results showed that FM could be replaced by BPC up to 50 % without any negative effect on growth performance, and fish was fed with dietary Control, 25BPC, and 50BPC digested protein and energy significantly better than those fed other diets.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of dietary lipid sources on growth, reproductive performance and fatty acid compositions of muscle and egg in three‐spot gourami (Trichopodus trichopterus) (Pallas, 1770)
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that vegetable oil-based diets (CO, SBO and LO, respectively) can positively affect on growth performance of juveniles compared with fish oil- based diets.
