TL;DR: In this article, an aniline-pentamer-based electroactive polyimide (AP-based EPI) coating prepared by oxidative coupling polymerization is presented, which exhibits enhanced corrosion protection effects on cold-rolled steel (CRS) electrodes as compared to the corresponding non-electroactive (NEPI) coating.
