Journal ArticleDOI
Effectiveness of atrial fibrillation rotor ablation is dependent on conduction velocity: An in-silico 3-dimensional modeling study
Byounghyun Lim,Minki Hwang,Jun Seop Song,Ah Jin Ryu,Boyoung Joung,Eun Bo Shim,Hyungon Ryu,Hui Nam Pak +7 more
TL;DR: Virtual ablation of DF, which may indicate AF driver, was more likely to terminate or defragment AF with spatiotemporally stable DF, but not likely to do so in long-lasting and sustained AF conditions, depending on CV.
Increased phosphorylation of ca(2+) handling proteins as a proarrhythmic mechanism in myocarditis.
Hyelim Park,Hyewon Park,Dajeong Lee,Sujung Oh,Jisoo Lim,Hye Jin Hwang,Sungha Park,Hui Nam Pak,Moon Hyoung Lee,Boyoung Joung +9 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Prolonged atrial refractoriness predicts the onset of atrial fibrillation: A 12-year follow-up study
Jung Myung Lee,Jung Myung Lee,Hancheol Lee,Ajit H. Janardhan,Junbeom Park,Boyoung Joung,Hui Nam Pak,Moon Hyoung Lee,Sung Soon Kim,Hye Jin Hwang +9 more
TL;DR: AERP increases with age and AERP of ≥280 ms was predictive of patients at significantly increased future risk of developing atrial fibrillation, and Kaplan-Meier AF-free survival curves demonstrated that subjects with an AerP of ≤280 ms had significantly lower AF- free survival compared with those with A ERP of <280 ms.
Journal ArticleDOI
Significant reduction of atrial defibrillation threshold and inducibility by catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation
Eui Seock Hwang,Gi Byung Nam,Boyoung Joung,Junbeom Park,Jihei Sara Lee,Jaemin Shim,Jae Sun Uhm,Moon Hyoung Lee,Hui Nam Pak +8 more
TL;DR: It is hypothesized that RFCA curtails atrial defibrillation threshold (A‐DFT) and postablation induction pacing cycle length (iPCL), making critical mass reduction one potential mechanism by which antiarrhythmic effect is achieved.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pattern of late gadolinium enhancement predicts arrhythmic events in patients with non-ischemic cardiomyopathy.
Dong Geum Shin,Hye Jeong Lee,Junbeom Park,Jae Sun Uhm,Hui Nam Pak,Moon Hyoung Lee,Young Jin Kim,Boyoung Joung +7 more
TL;DR: The subepicardial pattern of the LV-LGE was an independent predictor of MA, suggesting that specific patterns of the LGE are closely related to the severity of arrhythmic events.
