Right atrial anatomical remodeling affects early outcomes of nonvalvular atrial fibrillation after radiofrequency ablation.
Jeonggeun Moon,Yoo Jin Hong,Boyoung Joung,Moon Hyoung Lee,Hui Nam Pak,Jong Youn Kim,Hye Jin Hwang,Jaemin Shim +7 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of two different doses of single bolus steroid injection to prevent atrial fibrillation recurrence after radiofrequency catheter ablation.
Darae Kim,Hoyoun Won,Jae Sun Uhm,Jong Youn Kim,Jung Hoon Sung,Hui Nam Pak,Moon Hyoung Lee,Boyoung Joung +7 more
TL;DR: A single injection of moderate-dose steroid decreased inflammation, however, single bolus injections of low-dose ormoderate-dose steroids were not effective in preventing immediate, early or midterm AF recurrence after RFCA.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of simvastatin on cardiac neural and electrophysiologic remodeling in rabbits with hypercholesterolemia.
Yen Bin Liu,Yen Bin Liu,Yuan-Teh Lee,Hui Nam Pak,Shien-Fong Lin,Shien-Fong Lin,Michael C. Fishbein,Lan S. Chen,C. Noel Bairey Merz,Peng Sheng Chen,Peng Sheng Chen +10 more
TL;DR: Simvastatin significantly reduced vulnerability to ventricular fibrillation via the mechanism of reduction of HC-induced neural and electrophysiologic remodeling.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prevalence and the clinical outcome of atrial fibrillation in patients with Autoimmune Rheumatic Disease
Yong Soo Baek,Tae Hoon Kim,Jae Sun Uhm,Jong Yun Kim,Hui Nam Pak,Moon Hyoung Lee,Boyoung Joung +6 more
TL;DR: The incidence of AF in ARD was affected by specific disease and an inflammatory status manifested by the CRP level, and was related to a higher mortality and strokes mandating meticulous follow-up.
Journal ArticleDOI
Is empirical four pulmonary vein isolation necessary for focally triggered paroxysmal atrial fibrillation? Comparison of selective pulmonary vein isolation versus empirical four pulmonary vein isolation.
Hui Nam Pak,Jin Seok Kim,Seung Yong Shin,Hyun Soo Lee,Jong Il Choi,Hong Euy Lim,Chun Hwang,Younghoon Kim +7 more
TL;DR: It is questioned whether the empirical four pulmonary vein isolation (EmPVI) was necessary in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation triggered from clearly and reproducibly defined arrhythmogenic PVs.
