Social cognition and neurocognition as predictors of conversion to psychosis in individuals at ultra-high risk.
Hee Sun Kim,Na Young Shin,Joon Hwan Jang,Euitae Kim,Geumsook Shim,Hye Yoon Park,Kyung Sue Hong,Jun Soo Kwon,Jun Soo Kwon +8 more
TL;DR: This study indicated that UHR patients who later converted to psychosis performed more poorly on tasks involving social cognition and neurocognition than did those who did not convert, suggesting that deficits can serve as specific markers to predict the development of psychosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Depression as a mediator of chronic fatigue and post-traumatic stress symptoms in middle east respiratory syndrome survivors
So Hee Lee,Hyoung Shik Shin,Hye Yoon Park,Jeong Lan Kim,Jung Jae Lee,Haewoo Lee,Sung Doo Won,Woori Han +7 more
TL;DR: Chronic fatigue 12 months after MERS had indirect effects on prolonged PTSSs 18 monthsAfter MERS via persisting depression in MERS survivors, which supports the need to promote interventional programs for emerging infectious disease survivors with chronic fatigue to reduce depression and prevent prolonged PTSss.
Journal ArticleDOI
Altered resting-state connectivity in subjects at ultra-high risk for psychosis: an fMRI study
Geumsook Shim,Jungsu S. Oh,Wi Hoon Jung,Joon Hwan Jang,Chi Hoon Choi,Euitae Kim,Hye Yoon Park,Jung Seok Choi,Myung Hun Jung,Jun Soo Kwon,Jun Soo Kwon,Jun Soo Kwon +11 more
TL;DR: Findings suggest that abnormal resting-state network activity may be related with the clinical features of UHR subjects, and neurodevelopmental and anatomical alterations of cortical midline structure might underlie altered intrinsic networks in U HR subjects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Posttraumatic stress disorder and depression of survivors 12 months after the outbreak of Middle East respiratory syndrome in South Korea.
Hye Yoon Park,Wan Beom Park,So Hee Lee,Jeong Lan Kim,Jung Jae Lee,Hae Woo Lee,Hyoung Shik Shin +6 more
TL;DR: This finding implies that psychosocial factors, particularly during the outbreak phase, influenced the mental health of patients over a long-term period.
Journal ArticleDOI
The effects of mind–body training on stress reduction, positive affect, and plasma catecholamines
Ye Ha Jung,Do Hyung Kang,Joon Hwan Jang,Hye Yoon Park,Min Soo Byun,Soo Jin Kwon,Go Eun Jang,Ul Soon Lee,Seung Chan An,Jun Soo Kwon,Jun Soo Kwon +10 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that meditation as mind-body training is associated with lower stress, higher positive affect and higher plasma DA levels when comparing the meditation group with the control group, suggesting that mind- body training may influence stress, positive affect and the sympathetic nervous system including DA activity.
