The Optimal Body Mass Index Range for Patients With Colorectal Cancer.

TL;DR: Recommendations for weight loss in the immediate postdiagnosis period among patients with CRC who are overweight may be unwarranted, and it is questionable whether the WHOdefined high-overweight range (BMI, 28 to <30) could still be the optimal range in Asian-Pacific Islanders as well.

WNK3 inhibition elicits antitumor immunity by suppressing PD-L1 expression on tumor cells and activating T-cell function

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors identified WNK lysine deficient protein kinase 3 (WNK3) as a positive regulator of PD-L1 expression and demonstrated that WNK3 perturbation increased cancer cell death in cancer cell-immune cell coculture conditions and boosted the secretion of cytokines and cytolytic enzymes.
