EnglishThis article uses the exhibition “Infinite Skulls”, which happened in Paris in the beginning of 2019, as a starting point to discuss art created by artificial intelligence and, by extension, unique pieces of art generated by algorithms. We detail the development of DCGAN, the deep learning neural network used in the show, from its cybernetics origin. The show and its creation process are described, identifying elements of creativity and technique, as well as question of the authorship of works. Then it frames these works in the context of generative art, pointing affinities and differences, and the issues of representing through procedures and abstractions. It describes the major breakthrough of neural network for technical images as the ability to represent categories through an abstraction, rather than images themselves. Finally, it tries to understand neural networks more as a tool for artists than an autonomous art creator.

Generative Art: Between the Nodes of Neuron Networks

Nitrogen (N) content is an important basis for the precise management of wheat fields. The application of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in agriculture provides an easier and faster way to monitor nitrogen content. Previous studies have shown that the features acquired from UAVs yield favorable results in monitoring wheat growth. However, since most of them are based on different vegetation indices, it is difficult to meet the requirements of accurate image interpretation. Moreover, resampling also easily ignores the structural features of the image information itself. Therefore, a spectral-spatial feature is proposed combining vegetation indices (VIs) and wavelet features (WFs), especially the acquisition of wavelet features from the UAV image, which was transformed from the spatial domain to the frequency domain with a wavelet transformation. In this way, the complete spatial information of different scales can be obtained to realize good frequency localization, scale transformation, and directional change. The different models based on different features were compared, including partial least squares regression (PLSR), support vector regression (SVR), and particle swarm optimization-SVR (PSO-SVR). The results showed that the accuracy of the model based on the spectral-spatial feature by combining VIs and WFs was higher than that of VIs or WF indices alone. The performance of PSO-SVR was the best (R2 = 0.9025, root mean square error (RMSE) = 0.3287) among the three regression algorithms regardless of the use of all the original features or the combination features. Our results implied that our proposed method could improve the estimation accuracy of aboveground nitrogen content of winter wheat from UAVs with consumer digital cameras, which have greater application potential in predicting other growth parameters.

With the development of information technology, multimedia has become a common information storage technology. The original information query technology has been difficult to adapt to the development of this new technology, so in order to be able to retrieve useful information in a large amount of multimedia information which has become a hot topic in the development of search technology, this paper takes the image in the multimedia information storage technology as the research object, uses the wavelet transform to divide the picture into the advantages of the low-frequency and high-frequency characteristics, and establishes the multimedia processing technology model based on the wavelet transform. The simulation results of face, vehicle, building, and landscape images show that different wavelet basis functions and different layers of images are decomposed, and the retrieval results and retrieval speed of images are different, When taking four layers of wavelet decomposition, the cubic b-spline wavelet as the wavelet basis function makes the classification result optimal, and the accuracy rate is 89.08%.
