Antibacterial activity of different honeys against pathogenic bacteria.

TL;DR: Enterica, Streptococcus pyogenes, Bacillus cereus and Bacillus subtilis were proven to be up to 60% more resistant than their equal reference strains thus emphasizing the variability in the antibacterial effect of honey and the need for further research.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fermentative Foods: Microbiology, Biochemistry, Potential Human Health Benefits and Public Health Issues.

Alternative protein sources to soybean meal in pig diets

TL;DR: The dietary inclusion of other oil seed meals in order to reduce reliance on imported soybean meal or rapeseed meal in pig diets can provide opportunities for diversifying the feedstuff matrix by using home-grown feedstuffs, which can result in the reduction of the feeding cost without negatively affecting the performance of the animals or the meat quality.
