This article presents a general methodology of state estimation by interval analysis in a dynamic system modeled by difference equations. The methodology is applied to a pineapple osmotic dehydration process, in order to predict the behavior of the process within a range of allowed perturbation. The paper presents simulations and validations.

State Estimation of a Dehydration Process by Interval Analysis

A Higher Education Institution (HEI) has the responsibility to track the processes through indicators that guarantee the measurement of the results in almost real time. This article presents the design of a management and quality model of the processes in a university, through the integration of a Balance Scorecard (BSC) and the implementation of an information system. For which it was required: a review of existing tracing and monitoring systems in the academic sector, definition of the requirements of the proposed technological, a diagnosis of the current measurement system of the HEI analyzed, identify measurement indicators and develop a technological tool. The designed model presents a precise and clear methodological guide that can be replicated in any HEI to monitor its processes.

espanolConsiderando la falta de recursos en centros de salud ubicados en zonas rurales, una parte de la poblacion colombiana se ve afectada por la calidad del Servicio de Salud recibido. Si se suma el bajo nivel socioeconomico de cierta poblacion rural, se genera una vulnerabilidad geografica. Por ello en este trabajo se presenta una Arquitectura Orientada a Servicios que tiene como objetivo apoyar centros de salud con bajos recursos tecnicos con tecnologia que permita una atencion fisica de rehabilitacion independientemente de la ubicacion del paciente y profesional de la salud. De esta manera, se propone un sistema distribuido, utilizando un medio de comunicacion disperso como Internet. Para asegurar la definicion de los servicios, el asistente de teleoperacion dispositiva y la integracion y coordinacion del sistema, se planea realizar un proceso de modelizacion basado en una herramienta formal como las redes de Petri. EnglishConsidering the lack of resources in health centers located in rural zones, a part of Colombian population goes affected by the quality of the health Service received. If this is added the low level socioeconomic of some rural population, it is generated a geographic vulnerability. For that reason in this work is presented a Service Oriented Architecture that has as objective support health centers with low technical resources with technology that allows a physical rehab attention independently of the localization of patient and health professional. By way of this, a distributed system it is proposed, using a dispersed communication media like the internet. Modeling in petri nets of a dispersed system in a physical rehab

Security assessment techniques are a tool that allows the operational personnel of electrical systems to categorize operating conditions in different labels. Nowadays, the large size of power grids and the operating conditions close to their operating limits require efficient, safe and fast procedures to assess the overall grid security, being one of the challenges posed by smart grids conception. In this paper, a supervised learning approach that allows to integrate all the concepts of safety of the electrical network: voltage, angle, frequency, etc., to give an overall assessment of the system in terms of security which may be applied according to the regulations and geographical contexts of each country.
