Regulators of PP2C Phosphatase Activity Function as Abscisic Acid Sensors
Yue Ma,Izabela Szostkiewicz,Arthur Korte,Danièle Moes,Yi Yang,Alexander Christmann,Erwin Grill +6 more
TL;DR: This study identifies interactors of ABI1 and ABI2 which are named regulatory components of ABA receptor (RCARs) in Arabidopsis and suggests that the ABA receptors may be a class of closely related complexes, which may explain previous difficulties in establishing its identity.
Supporting Online Material for Regulators of PP2C Phosphatase Activity Function as Abscisic Acid Sensors
TL;DR: In this paper, the plant hormone abscisic acid (ABA) receptor was identified as a regulatory component of the ABA receptor (RCARs) in Arabidopsis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Closely related receptor complexes differ in their ABA selectivity and sensitivity
Izabela Szostkiewicz,Klaus Richter,Michal Kepka,Simone Demmel,Yue Ma,Arthur Korte,Farhah F. Assaad,Alexander Christmann,Erwin Grill +8 more
TL;DR: This study describes a novel member of the RCAR family, RCAR3, identified in a screen for interactors of the PP2Cs ABI1 and ABI2, which are key regulators of ABA responses and proposes a model whereby differential expression of the co-receptors and combinatorial assembly of the receptor complexes act in concert to modulate and fine-tune A BA responses.
