Analysis procedures for ROSAT XRT/PSPC observations of extended objects and the diffuse background

TL;DR: In this paper, a set of pulse-height bands are recommended for analyzing extended structure and the use of detector efficiency maps for proper flat-fielding of images are discussed and demonstrated using IDL routines for implementing these data reduction procedures.
Journal ArticleDOI

CCD Sounding Rocket Observation of the High-Latitude Soft X-Ray Background

TL;DR: In this paper, the results of a charge coupled device (CCD) sounding rocket observation (36.092UH, 1995 May) of the X-ray background between 0.3 and 10 keV are presented.
