Determination of Shell-Side Heat Transfer Coefficients by the Naphthalene Sublimation Technique
J. A. Perez,Ephraim M Sparrow +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, mass transfer coefficients for shell-and-tube heat exchanger were determined from mass transfer measurements using the naphthalene sublimation technique, where the external surface of the tubes is coated with a film of naphalene, which sublimes when exposed to an air flow.
Journal ArticleDOI
Internal, Shellside Heat Transfer and Pressure Drop Characteristics for a Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger
Ephraim M Sparrow,J. A. Perez +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the coefficients de transfert de chaleur par tubes and des pertes de charge par compartiment and entre compartiments sur le cote calandre d'un echangeur de chalur a faisceau et calandre.
Journal ArticleDOI
Patterns of Fluid Flow in a Shell-and-Tube Heat Exchanger
J. A. Perez,Ephraim M Sparrow +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors employed the oil-lampblack technique to reveal the patterns of fluid flow in a shell-and-tube heat exchanger and visualized flow patterns adjacent to the shell wall, to the baffle plates, and to each tube of the array.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ontogenetic changes in digestive enzyme activity and biochemical indices of larval and postlarval European lobster (Homarus gammarus, L)
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of Dietary n-3 LCPUFA Supplementation on the Hippocampus of Aging Female Mice: Impact on Memory, Lipid Raft-Associated Glutamatergic Receptors and Neuroinflammation
Lucas Taoro-Gonzalez,Daniel Pereda,Catalina Valdés-Baizabal,Miriam González-Gómez,J. A. Perez,Fatima Mesa-Herrera,Ana Canerina-Amaro,H. Pérez-González,Covadonga Rodríguez,Mario Díaz,Raquel Marin +10 more
TL;DR: It is proposed that n-3 LCPUFA supplementation leads to beneficial cognitive performance by “rejuvenating” the lipid raft microenvironment that stabilizes the integrity and interactions of memory protein players embedded in these microdomains.
