Spectral response and I–V measurements of tandem amorphous-silicon alloy solar cells
J. Burdick,T. Glatfelter +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the spectral response of a two-cell tandem device as well as its single-cell components may be measured, and these response curves may be used as a diagnostic tool in determining such device parameters as individual layer thicknesses, current matching, and optical-absorption profile optimization of the single cell components.
Methods for Measuring Solar Cell Efficiency Independent of Reference Cell or Light Source
K. A. Emery,C. R. Osterwald,T. W. Cannon,Daryl R. Myers,J. Burdick,T. Glatfelter,W. Czubatyj,J. Yang +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a methodology is presented for calibrating reference cells and calculating spectral mismatch factors, and then using these to obtain the corrected short-circuit current with respect to standard test conditions.
Proceedings Article
Comparison of the temperature coefficients of the basic I-V parameters for various types of solar cells
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report results of experimental temperature coefficient measurements obtained on a wide variety of different photovoltaic devices, many of which have not had temperature coefficient data published previously.
Journal ArticleDOI
A comparison of the errors in determining the conversion efficiency of multijunction solar cells by various methods
TL;DR: In this article, various methods of determining the illuminated current vs. voltage parameters of two-terminal and multiterminal multijunction solar cells with respect to standard reporting conditions (temperature, spectral irradiance and total irradiance) are discussed.
