••
TL;DR: The status of organic solar cell research is reviewed in this article, showing that the field is still in the early stages of development, but conversion efficiencies in sunlight of about 1% have been achieved.
396 citations
••
TL;DR: In this article, a Pascal program, PVNet, is developed at the Commission of the European Communities Joint Research Centre, Ispra, to model the electrical behaviour of solar cell interconnection circuits, and the program calculates three-quadrant solar cell currentvoltage (I-V) curves using a lumped parameter equivalent circuit model, combines them to obtain the resultant I-V curve of any interconnection circuit, and calculates the operating point of each circuit element, set by user-defined operating conditions.

••
TL;DR: In this article, a detailed photon and carrier loss analysis was conducted for Cu/Cu 2 O cells to project the ultimate values of the photocurrent for these cells to be 12-14 mA cm −2 and 18% respectively.
323 citations
••
TL;DR: In this paper, the accuracy of previously published and new analytical approximations for this factor are compared and the most useful expressions are summarized, including the effects of temperature, ideality factor and series and shunt parasitic resistances.

••
TL;DR: The status of Cu 2 O solar cells is reviewed in this paper, where an analysis of the causes of this poor performance is given and possible areas for future research in the field are outlined.
