Experimental observation of lepton pairs of invariant mass around 95 GeV/c2 at the Cern SPS collider

David B. Cline, +132 more
- 07 Jul 1983 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the signature of a two-body decay of a particle of mass ∼ 95 GeV/c2 was observed, which fit well with the hypothesis that they are produced by the process p + p → Z 0 + X (with Z 0 → l + + + l − ), where Z 0 is the Intermediate Vector Boson postulated by the electroweak theories as the mediator of weak neutral currents.
Journal ArticleDOI

A study of the general characteristics of proton-antiproton collisions at √ s=0.2 to 0.9 TeV

Carmen Albajar, +177 more
- 07 May 1990 -
TL;DR: In this article, the general characteristics of inelastic proton-antiproton collisions at the CERN SPS Collider were studied with the UA1 detector using magnetic and calorimetric analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for B0−B¯0 oscillations at the CERN proton-antiproton collider

Carmen Albajar, +201 more
- 05 Mar 1987 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a search for B0↔B¯0 oscillations (mixing) using events with two identified muons from data collected at the CERN p¯p collider is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental Observation of Events with Large Missing Transverse Energy Accompanied by a Jet Or a Photon(s) in p anti-p Collisions at s**(1/2)=540-GeV

G.T.J. Arnison, +135 more
- 03 May 1984 -
TL;DR: In this article, the authors report the observation of five events in which a missing transverse energy larger than 40 GeV is associated with a narrow hadronic jet and two similar events with a neutral electromagnetic cluster (either one or more closely spaced photons).
Journal ArticleDOI

Further Evidence for Charged Intermediate Vector Bosons at the SPS Collider

G.T.J. Arnison, +139 more
- 22 Sep 1983 -
TL;DR: In this article, a sample of 52 Intermediate Vector Boson decays in the ( v e e) channel is described. They were produced at the CERN SPS Collider for an integrated luminosity of 0.136 pb −1.
