The present research deals with the deformation in transversely isotropic thermoelastic (TIT) thin circular plate. Rotation effect is studied under thermally insulated as well as isothermal boundaries. The Laplace and Hankel transform techniques have been used to find the solution to the problem. The displacement components, conductive temperature distribution, and stress components with the radial distance are computed in the transformed domain and further calculated in the physical domain using numerical inversion techniques. The effects of rotation and two temperatures are represented graphically. Some specific cases are also figured out from the current research.

Thermomechanical interactions in transversely isotropic magneto-thermoelastic medium with fractional order generalized heat transfer and hall current

Effects of fractional and two-temperature parameters on the distribution of stresses of an unbounded isotropic thermoelastic medium with spherical cavity are studied in the context of the theory of two-temperature generalized thermoelasticity based on the Green-Naghdi model III using fractional order heat conduction equation. The surface of the cavity is considered to be free from traction and is subjected to a smooth and time-dependent-heating effect. A spherical polar coordinate system has been used to describe the problem and the resulting governing equations are solved in Laplace transform domain. Numerical Laplace transform inversion method has been then applied to get the stresses in time domain. The numerical estimates of the distributions of stresses are obtained and are presented graphically to study the effects of fractional and two-temperature parameters.

Fractional Heat Conduction in a Thin Circular Plate With Constant Temperature Distribution and Associated Thermal Stresses

This paper is concerned with fractional order thermoelastic response due to a heat source whose magnitude varies periodically with time within the context of generalized thermoelasticity with one relaxation time. Traction free boundary conditions are considered and the thick circular plate is subjected to a given axisymmetric temperature distribution. Integral transform technique is used to derive the solution in the transformed domain. Laplace transforms are inverted using a numerical scheme. Mathematical model is prepared for Copper material and results for temperature, displacement and stress distributions are computed and represented graphically.

PurposeThe purpose of the paper is to prepare the hygrothermal model with fraction order theory in a mathematical aspect.Design/methodology/approachIn this study, linear hygrothermoelastic theory is adopted to analyze and discuss the memory effect in a finite length hollow cylinder subjected to hygrothermal loading.FindingsAnalytical solutions of temperature, moisture and stresses are obtained in this study by using the decoupling technique and the method of Integral transform.Originality/valueThe paper deals with the original work based on hygrothermal response in hollow cylinder by theory of uncoupled-coupled heat and moisture.
