Stress rupture characteristics of Inconel 718 alloy for ramjet combustor
TL;DR: In this article, the accelerated creep life of Inconel 718 alloy was evaluated by using Larson-Miller parameter, and the activation energy, Δ H, was calculated from the experimental results.
Journal ArticleDOI
Status of the ITER vacuum vessel construction
Chang-Hwan Choi,C. Sborchia,K. Ioki,B. Giraud,Yu. Utin,J.W. Sa,X. Wang,P. Teissier,J.-M. Martinez,R. Le Barbier,C. Jun,S. Dani,V.R. Barabash,P. Vertongen,A. Alekseev,P. Jucker,Angel Bayon,H. Pathak,Jigar Raval,H. J. Ahn,B.C. Kim,E. Kuzmin,P.V. Savrukhin +22 more
TL;DR: The ITER vacuum vessel (VV) is under manufacturing by four domestic agencies after completion of engineering designs that have been approved by the Agreed Notified Body (ANB). Manufacturing designs of the VV have been being completed, component by component, by accommodating requirements of the RCC-MR 2007 edition as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Qualification of phased array ultrasonic examination on T-joint weld of austenitic stainless steel for ITER vacuum vessel
Gwang-Ho Kim,Chulkyu Park,S.W. Jin,Hyun-Chul Kim,Kwen-Hee Hong,Y.J. Lee,Hee-Jae Ahn,Wooho Chung,Yung-Jin Jung,Byeong-hee Roh,J.W. Sa,Chang-Hwan Choi +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, Phased array ultrasonic examination (PAUT) has been introduced on double sided T-shape austenitic welds of the ITER VV as a major NDE method as well as RT.
Journal ArticleDOI
Status of the KSTAR Tokamak Construction
J.S. Bak,H.L. Yang,Yeong-Kook Oh,Y.M. Park,Kaprai Park,B.S. Im,Chang-Hwan Choi,J.W. Sa,G.S. Lee +8 more
TL;DR: The KSTAR tokamak is a superconducting tokak under construction at the Korea Basic Science Institute (KBSI) in Daejeon, Korea.
Journal ArticleDOI
Progress of ITER vacuum vessel
K. Ioki,Angel Bayon,Chang-Hwan Choi,E. Daly,S. Dani,J. Davis,B. Giraud,Y. Gribov,C. Hamlyn-Harris,C. Jun,B. Levesy,B.C. Kim,E. Kuzmin,R. Le Barbier,J.-M. Martinez,H. Pathak,J. Preble,J.W. Sa,A. Terasawa,Yu. Utin,X. Wang +20 more
TL;DR: The VV baseline design was approved by the agreed notified body (ANB) in accordance with the French Nuclear Pressure Equipment Order procedure and manufacturing designs are being developed at the domestic agencies (DAs) based on the baseline design.
