Prospective Multicenter Study of Pregnancy Outcomes in Women With Heart Disease
TL;DR: Pregnancy in women with heart disease is associated with significant cardiac and neonatal complications, despite state-of-the-art prenatal care, and the cardiac event rate can be predicted using a risk index incorporating these predictors.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: Pregnancy in women with heart disease is associated with significant cardiac and neonatal complications, despite state-of-the-art obstetric and cardiac care, and maternal cardiac risk can be predicted with the use of a risk index.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pregnancy Outcomes in Women With Heart Disease: The CARPREG II Study
Candice K. Silversides,Jasmine Grewal,Jennifer Mason,Mathew Sermer,Marla Kiess,Valerie Rychel,Rachel M. Wald,Jack M. Colman,Samuel C. Siu +8 more
TL;DR: Pregnancy in women with heart disease continues to be associated with significant morbidity, although mortality is rare, and prediction of maternal cardiac complications in womenWith heart disease is enhanced by integration of general, lesion-specific, and delivery of care variables.
