Design of SIW Cavity-Backed Circular-Polarized Antennas Using Two Different Feeding Transitions

TL;DR: In this paper, two circular-polarized circular patch antennas which have novel feeding structures such as a substrate integrated waveguide (SIW), a cavity-backed resonator and two different feeding transitions, are proposed and experimentally investigated in terms of electrical performances, including reflection coefficients, optimized parameter values, circular polarized antenna gain, axial ratios and radiation patterns.
Journal ArticleDOI

An implementation of harmonic-suppression microstrip filters with periodic grooves

TL;DR: In this paper, a parallel-coupled-line microstrip band pass filter (BPF) was proposed to improve the harmonic suppression performance of the second harmonic signal (2f/sub o/, twice the passband frequency) by enforcing consecutive patterns in coupled-line and increasing the number of grooves to the optimum values.
Journal ArticleDOI

Concurrent Dual-Band Class-E Power Amplifier Using Composite Right/Left-Handed Transmission Lines

TL;DR: In this article, a concurrent dual-band class-E power amplifier using composite right/left-handed transmission lines (CRLH TLs) is proposed, which achieves power-added efficiency of 42.5% and 42.6% at 800 MHz and 1.70 GHz, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Modified S-Band Satellite Antenna With Isoflux Pattern and Circularly Polarized Wide Beamwidth

TL;DR: In this paper, a modified isoflux pattern antenna suitable for S-band satellite communication is introduced and investigated with respect to its beam pattern and axial ratios, and a simple analysis of the combination of horizontal dipoles and vertically attached top-hat elements is also carried out.
Journal ArticleDOI

SIW-Based Array Antennas With Sequential Feeding for X-Band Satellite Communication

TL;DR: In this article, a novel phased array antennas suitable for X-band satellite communication are introduced and investigated for right-handed circular polarization (RHCP) in a multi-layered fabrication.
