Influence of the injection molding process on the mechanical properties of (PA6/GF/MMT) nanocomposite
Renato Adriano Damiani,Jair Fiori Junior,Josiane da Rocha Silvano,Almir Barros da Silva Santos Neto,Pedro Henrique Hermes de Araújo,Humberto Gracher Riella,Márcio Antônio Fiori +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of injection molding conditions on the mechanical properties of polyamide 6/glass fiber/montmorillonite (PA6/GF/MMT) composites is investigated, and the results demonstrate that composites processed at lower mass temperatures exhibited higher tensile strength and flexural strength.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of a glassy material doped with zn+2 for the treatment of water contaminated by bacteria escherichia coli and staphylococcus aureus
Raquel Piletti,C. M Oliveira,G.W. Duarte,Camila Gaspodini Tachinski,Jair Fiori Junior,Claus Tröger Pich,Elídio Angioletto,Josiane Maria Muneron de Mello,Jacir Dal Magro,Humberto Gracher Riella,Márcio Antônio Fiori +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the use of a glassy matrix doped with zinc ions on the treatment of water contaminated with Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria was investigated.

Food-safe, antimicrobial multilayered packaging
Raquel Piletti,Marcel Ferrari Dos Santos,Jair Fiori Junior,Márcio Antônio Fiori,Paulo Eduardo Marega Cargnin,Mateus Vital Colonetti,Carlos Alberto Araujo,Adailton Citadin Pereira,Thiago Tofoli +8 more
TL;DR: A multilayered antimicrobial multilayer packaging consists of at least two layers with specific functions, wherein the inner layer (1) necessarily has an antimicrobial function and is preferably made of a polymer material to which a zinc-based compound is added, together with an outer layer (2) that provides a structural support and to which an aesthetic finish can be applied, as well as a plurality of other, intermediate layers having specific functions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of the Temperature and UV Radiation on the Antimicrobial Action of Bactericidal Wood Polymer Composite (BWPC)
Jair Fiori Junior,Raquel Piletti,Tatiana Barichello,Mara Gabriela Novy Quadri,Humberto Gracher Riella,Elidio Angioletto,Luciano da Silva,Marcos Marques da Silva Paula,Márcio Antônio Fiori +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an investigation of the influences of temperature and UV radiation on the antimicrobial properties of Bactericide Wood Polymer Composite (BWPC) was presented. And the results showed that the bactericide action is strongly affected by the time of exposure of the composite to high temperature andUV radiation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Application of Glass Particles Doped by Zn+2as Antimicrobial and Atoxic Compound in LLDPE and HDPE
Marcel Ferrari Dos Santos,C. M Oliveira,Camila Gaspodini Tachinski,Jair Fiori Junior,Raquel Piletti,Clever Pirola Ávila,Thiago Tofoli,Jaqueline Madeira Gonçalves,Márcio Antônio Fiori +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the potential application of glass particles doped with Zn +2 (GZn) as antimicrobial additives and atoxic of the HDPE and LLDPE polymers was demonstrated.
