Journal Article

EVALUATION OF ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY OF ZnO NANOPARTICLES COATED SONOCHEMICALLY ONTO TEXTILE FABRICS

TL;DR: In this article, the antibacterial properties of ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) were investigated on textiles against Gram positive Staphylococcus aureus and Gram negative Escherichia coli.
Journal ArticleDOI

A sonochemical technology for coating of textiles with antibacterial nanoparticles and equipment for itsimplementation

TL;DR: In this article, a method for introducing antibacterial CuO nanoparticles into textiles using ultrasonic cavitation has been developed, where nanoparticles are directed by the cavitation jets (which are formed due to asymmetric bubble collapse in the presence of a solid surface) towards the surface of the textile at very high velocities and penetrate into the fibres.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cytotoxicity Study of Textile Fabrics Impregnated With CuO Nanoparticles in Mammalian Cells.

TL;DR: The results showed that CuO NPs are not toxic to HDF cells, however, cytotoxicity was seen in HepG2 cells with cell viability decreasing by 20% to 25% for all the fabrics after 24 hours, which needs to be addressed.
