Kinetics of desulfurization of hot fuel gas with calcium oxide. Reaction between carbonyl sulfide and calcium oxide
Ralph T. Yang,James M. Chen +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the reaction between carbonyl sulfide and calcium oxide was studied since the typical concentration of COS is 0.01Vertical Bar3< in the fuel gases from commercially available coal gasifiers.

Preparation of reactive beta-dicalcium silicate
TL;DR: In this article, the preparation of fine particles of reactive beta-dicalcium silicate by means of a solid state process which comprises firing a mixture of calcium sulfate, silica and a reducing additive selected from the group consisting of calcium, carbon, carbon monoxide, methane and hydrogen, at a temperature of about 850°-1000° C. A carrier gas such as nitrogen or carbon dioxide may also be added, if desired.

The optimal temperature of sulfur retention
TL;DR: The effects of calcination temperature on the development of pore size and on the SO 2 sorption capacity have been investigated in this paper, where it has been shown that the optimal temperature of sulfur retention observed in a fluidized-bed combustor can very possibly be due to pore sizes variations because of calcinations at different temperatures.
