Affective image classification using features inspired by psychology and art theory

TL;DR: This work investigates and develops methods to extract and combine low-level features that represent the emotional content of an image, and uses these for image emotion classification.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Detecting falls at homes using a network of low-resolution cameras

TL;DR: This paper proposes an approach for the detection of falls based on multiple cameras based on semantic driven features and shows the applicability of the method for videos with low spatial resolution and frame rate.

Affective computing for wearable diary and lifelogging systems: An overview

TL;DR: This paper reviews state-of-the-art literature on wearable diaries and lifelogging systems, and describes key issues and main challenges of building modern diary systems.

A Keyframe Selection of Lifelog Image Sequences

TL;DR: A keyframe selection technique based on measuring image quality and distance to the middle frame is proposed, which results in 81.6 % of keyframes selected by the proposed approach are accepted, whereas only 70.4 % are accepted when using the middle frames as keyframes.

Fusion of Data from Multiple Cameras for Fall Detection

TL;DR: This paper proposes a novel approach for the detection of falls based on multiple cameras based on semantic driven features that is focused on simplicity, low computational effort and fast processing.
