Journal ArticleDOI
65 years of ZnO research – old and very recent results
Claus F. Klingshirn,J. Fallert,Huijuan Zhou,Janos Sartor,Cornelius Thiele,Florian Maier-Flaig,Daniel Schneider,Heinz Kalt +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a didactical review of optical properties of ZnO has been presented, focusing mainly on optical properties but presenting shortly also a few aspects of other fields like transport or magnetic properties.
Journal ArticleDOI
Co-existence of strongly and weakly localized random laser modes
TL;DR: In this article, the localization of localized and extended modes of light in micro-structured ZnO powders is investigated and shown to exist simultaneously in both types of modes, which corroborates the prediction that localized modes have a lower loss rate than that of extended modes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ordered n-type ZnO nanorod arrays
Huijuan Zhou,J. Fallert,Janos Sartor,Roman J. B. Dietz,Claus F. Klingshirn,Heinz Kalt,D. Weissenberger,Dagmar Gerthsen,Haibo Zeng,Weiping Cai +9 more
TL;DR: Using indium as catalyst for growth and simultaneously as doping source, ordered arrays of n-type ZnO single crystal nanorods have been perpendicularly grown on p-GaN∕Al2O3 substrates with a vapor phase transport growth method.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inside Back Cover (Phys. Status Solidi B 6/2010)
Claus F. Klingshirn,J. Fallert,Huijuan Zhou,Janos Sartor,Cornelius Thiele,Florian Maier-Flaig,Daniel Schneider,Heinz Kalt +7 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Lasing in single ZnO nanorods after fs‐ and ns‐pulsed excitation
TL;DR: In this article, the photoluminescence properties of single ZnO nanorods under ns- and fs-pulsed excitation were examined and the spectral lasing region was analyzed.
