The main aim of the present study was to analyze whether publications related to environmental sustainability in social media directly and positively influence user satisfaction with and trust in tourism businesses. Our second goal was to determine whether the influence of environmental sustainability and satisfaction is moderated by users' gender. Data collection was performed using a questionnaire. The questionnaire responses were analyzed using the partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) methodology. The results have shown that there is a positive relationship between environmental sustainability, satisfaction, and trust generated by tourism companies through their publications on social media, and that this relationship is not conditioned by users' gender. The results of the present study contribute to the literature by bridging the gap in research on tourism enterprises and their strategies regarding social media publications. Our findings also provide important implications related to the content of environmental sustainability strategies and social media communication for tourism companies.

Narrativa transmedia y turismo experiencial: relatos sobre el patrimonio y la herencia judía en Aragón Sefarad

Resumen: Las dificultades economicas y la precariedad laboral sufrida por Espana en la crisis, genero un incremento del desempleo de los mayores de 45 anos. En este contexto, este estudio pretende comprender el drama social presente en los diferentes discursos que giran en torno a ello mediante el uso de un nuevo diseno metodologico: la triple triangulacion compleja. Con este diseno se contrasta el discurso de cuatro fuentes: mayores de 45 anos, datos oficiales, medios de comunicacion y expertos. Los principales hallazgos muestran discursos dispares con algunos puntos de encuentro entre las fuentes. Se concluye que muchos factores que intervienen en el desempleo de los mayores, rebasan el ambito de la formacion, siendo un problema multidisciplinar.

In Argentina, from 2000, a period of strategic plans were implemented in different territorial administrative levels, and in some cases, focused on specific economic areas, such as tourism. Particularly, the existence of a systematic record of these plans, as well as the existence of an analysis of the documentation from the perspective of "local development" is unknown. Some tourism experts suggest that there are few studies in relation to tourism and development in Argentina, with particular emphasis on studies applied to provincial and municipal levels. In this context, the specific objectives of the first phase of this research were: -        To elaborate a recording of strategic tourism plans at the provincial level for the period 2003-2013 in Argentina. -        To analyze these strategic tourism plans using the method of "fundamental questions" of local development based on the methodology proposed by the DEMUCA-CEDET Foundation (2009).

Logistic Regression Model and Decision Trees to Analyze Changes in Tourist Behavior: Tungurahua Case Study

The present study analyses the impact of education on cultural tourism preferences of the Spanish population. First, the variations in the association between education and cultural tourism are compared at the regional level. In a second phase, a multivariate classification model based in decision trees is used to explain and understand the complex association between socioeconomic and sociodemographic determinants of cultural tourism. The present work demonstrates the existence of educational differences between the Spanish regions, differences that may determine the cultural tourism results of population in Spain. On the other hand, the findings obtained through the classification technique indicate that the effect of education on cultural tourism is mediated by socioeconomic and socio-demographic factors, which may vary the explanatory power of the educational component. Unlike previous studies, the present analytical approach enables the use of complex combinations of predictors for the identification of specific population subgroups that may be more or less likely to cultural consumption.

Educación y turismo cultural en la España: Identificación de perfiles turísticos mediante la aplicación de árboles de decisión

El presente estudio tiene como objetivo explorar la asociacion entre discriminacion laboral y salud en Andalucia (Espana). Este estudio se basa en una muestra de 1200 individuos. El indicador de discriminacion laboral fue disenado a traves de una pregunta abierta que se referia a otros tipos de discriminacion. Aunque la categoria discriminacion laboral no se incluyo inicialmente en el cuestionario, el 65% de los participantes se consideraron sujetos a discriminacion laboral mientras que solo el 35% informaron otras causas habituales de discriminacion. Las medidas de propension muestran que las personas que reportan discriminacion laboral presentan un mayor uso de servicios de salud primaria, un resultado que podria estar relacionado con la mayor prevalencia de trastornos depresivos en grupos socioeconomicamente desfavorecidos. Aunque se necesita profundizar en esta materia, la orientacion futura de las politicas sociales y de salud de la UE deberian incluir como objetivo la reduccion del impacto social del desempleo y la precariedad laboral a fin de reducir la discriminacion y promover la equidad en salud. The present study aims to explore the association between employment discrimination and health in Andalusia (Spain). This study is based on a sample of 1200 individuals. The employment discrimination indicator was designed is through the results of an open-ended question that refers to other types of discrimination. Although the category ‘employment discrimination’ were not initially included in the questionnaire, 65% of participants perceived themselves as subject to employment discrimination while only 35% reported other usual causes of discrimination. Employment discrimination has been found similarly associated to poor health outcomes. Propensity scores show people reporting employment discrimination present a higher use of primary health services, a result that might be related with the higher prevalence of depressive disorders of socioeconomically disadvantaged groups. Although additional research is needed, the future orientation of EU social and health policies should aim to reduce the social impact of unemployment and insecure jobs in order to reduce discrimination and promote health equity.
