Rate Dependent Damage Model for Concrete in Dynamics
TL;DR: In this article, a rate-dependent model is proposed to reproduce the major effects of the rate of loading on the response of concrete; that is, an increase of the material strength and a decrease of the softening tangent modulus with increasing strain rate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Non-local damage model with evolving internal length
TL;DR: In this article, a modified non-local damage model with evolving internal length was developed, inspired from micromechanics, and the resulting weight function is non-symmetric and truncated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Correlation between the internal length, the fracture process zone and size effect in model materials
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the correlation between the width of the fracture process zone, the parameters entering in the description of size effect (related to the dimension of the specimen especially), and the internal length in non local constitutive relations for a model mortar material with a controlled macroporosity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modal behavior of a new large reflector conceptual design
TL;DR: In this paper, a new conceptual design for the architecture of a large deployable space reflector is presented, where the reflective parabolic surface is made of a mesh shaped by a cable net and the supporting rim structure is based on scissor mechanisms associated with flexible joints.
