Process for the preparation of dispersible colloidal systems of a substance in the form of nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a process for the preparation of a liquid phase consisting essentially of a solution of a substance A in a solvent or in a mixture of solvents, and containing the substance B in solution or as a dispersion, and the addition of the first phase to the second phase with moderate agitation so as to produce a colloidal suspension of nanocapsules.
Journal ArticleDOI

Biodistribution of long-circulating PEG-grafted nanocapsules in mice: effects of PEG chain length and density.

TL;DR: A dramatic difference in the pharmacokinetic parameters of PLA-PEG 45-20 30% NCs compared to poloxamer-coated NCs indicates that covalent attachment, longer PEG chain lengths, and higher densities are necessary to produce an increased half-life of NCs in vivo.
Journal ArticleDOI

Long-circulating nanoparticles bearing heparin or dextran covalently bound to poly(methyl methacrylate).

TL;DR: Both types of nanoparticles proved to be long-circulating, and the potent capacity for opsonisation of the poly(methyl methacrylate) core were hidden by the protective effect of either polysaccharide, probably due to a dense brush-like structure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficacy and Pharmacokinetics of Intravenous Nanocapsule Formulations of Halofantrine in Plasmodium berghei-Infected Mice

TL;DR: Nanocapsule formulations could provide a more favorable halofantrine profile in the plasma and reduce the intravenous dose necessary and therefore the toxicity, thus suggesting the use of hal ofantrine by a parenteral route in severe malaria.
Journal Article

Polymeric nanocapsules as drug delivery systems. A review

TL;DR: In this article, le point sur les aspects physicochimiques et les applications therapeutiques des nanocapsules en tant que systeme de delivrance de medicaments.
