Journal ArticleDOI

Notch-1 signalling requires ligand-induced proteolytic release of intracellular domain.

TL;DR: It is shown that signalling by a constitutively active membrane-bound Notch-1 protein requires the proteolytic release of the Notch intracellular domain (NICD), which interacts preferentially with CSL.
Journal ArticleDOI

Immunohistochemical studies indicate multiple enteroendocrine cell differentiation pathways in the mouse proximal small intestine

TL;DR: This report defines the temporal and spatial interrelationships between gastrin, cholecystokinin (CCK), glucagon‐like peptide‐1 (GLP‐1), and gastric inhibitory peptide (GIP) immunoreactive cells in the mouse proximal small intestine and demonstrates several novel enteroendocrine cell differentiation pathways.
