Among developing countries in Asia, Indonesia has realized the importance of transitioning from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources such as solar power. Careful consideration must be given to the strategic placement of solar power installations to fully leverage the benefits of solar energy. This study proposes a methodology to optimize the site selection of solar power plants in Indonesia by integrating Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (F-AHP), and Fuzzy Measurement of Alternatives and Ranking according to Compromise Solution (F-MARCOS) models. The proposed methodology considers quantitative and qualitative criteria to evaluate potential locations for solar power plants. In the first stage, DEA is used to identify the most efficient locations based on quantitative measures such as solar radiation, land availability, and grid connectivity. In the second stage, qualitative factors such as technological, economic, environmental, and socio-political aspects are evaluated using F-AHP to prioritize the most important criteria for site selection. Finally, F-MARCOS ranks potential locations based on the selected criteria. The methodology was tested using data from Indonesia as a case study. The results show that the proposed hybrid model optimizes Indonesia’s solar power plant site selection. The optimal locations can contribute to a cost-effective long-term renewable energy supply nationwide. The findings from this study are relevant to policymakers, industry stakeholders, and researchers interested in renewable energy development and site selection. However, to promote sustainable solar energy development, governments and local authorities must also enact supportive policies and mechanisms that encourage the adoption and growth of renewable energy technologies in Indonesia.

Based on equal precision frequency measurement and pulse counting technique, a multi-period synchronous frequency measurement method is proposed in this paper. A programmed cymometer is designed with a full frequency band with equal precision measurement and improved measurement accuracy. In addition to adopting a low-power gate-control clock technique, the strong stability of our design is also carried out through the filtering of interference signals. Finally, the designed circuit is implemented with FPGA. The experimental results show that the static power consumption of the programmable frequency meter testing platform designed after continuous operation for 100 h is only 0.56 W, and the input impedance is 1 M Ω/40 pF. At the same time, the errors of frequency, cycle measurement, duty cycle measurement, and time interval are within a reasonable range. In addition, the measurement accuracy requirements for various indicators can also be met at a maximum frequency of 100 MHz. Therefore, this work can provide a feasible design method for low-power consumption electrical systems that are easy to replicate.

An Equal Precision Programmed Cymometer Design Using Low-Power Technique

Based on the characteristics of phase change concentrated heat, this paper proposes a photovoltaic/phase change/thermoelectric (PV-PCM-TE) self-supply system with sidewall integrated TE. In the system, an intelligent control circuit for phase change time is designed to intelligently switch the TE working mode using real-time temperature tracking. Therefore, the phase change time of the phase change material (PCM) is delayed with enhanced heat absorption and storage capacity, resulting in greater suppression of the PV temperature rise. Based on the constant temperature difference during the delayed phase change, more electrical power output can be obtained with integrated multistage thermoelectric generators (TEG) in the sidewall of the PCM container. With the supplementary TEG energy injected into the PV battery, a complete self-powered design is constructed, leading to improved system energy efficiency. Experimental results show that compared with the PV-PCM-TEG system, the PCM phase change time of the proposed system is extended by 15 min, where the peak PV temperature after suppression is only 68.5 °C, which is 8 °C lower than that of the conventional PV-TEG-PCM system. The conversion efficiency of the entire system reached 30.26%, an improvement of 43.15%. The proposed self-powered PV-PCM-TE power conversion system with a long-time delay and high efficiency can operate during both day and night, providing a green scheme for intelligent low-power electrical systems.
