A new method to improve poly(3-hexyl thiophene) (P3HT) crystalline behavior: decreasing chains entanglement to promote order-disorder transformation in solution.

TL;DR: This simple method paves the way for the decreasing chains entanglement during crystallizing process of conjugated polymer in solution, and it enriches the ways to improve crystalline order in thin films comprising crystallizable polymers.
Journal ArticleDOI

The mechanisms for introduction of n-dodecylthiol to modify the P3HT/PCBM morphology

TL;DR: In this paper, an additive to improve the poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT):methanofullerene [6,6]-phenyl C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) organic solar cells performance is investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structure and Morphology Control in Thin Films of Conjugated Polymers for an Improved Charge Transport

TL;DR: In this article, the morphological and structural features of conjugated polymer films play an important role in the charge transport and the final performance of organic optoelectronics devices [such as organic thin-film transistor (OTFT) and organic photovoltaic cell (OPV), etc.] in terms of crystallinity, packing of polymer chains and connection between crystal domains.
Journal ArticleDOI

Donor/Acceptor Molecular Orientation-Dependent Photovoltaic Performance in All-Polymer Solar Cells.

TL;DR: By manufacture of photovoltaic devices with blend films, the relationship between the correlated D/A molecular orientation and device performance was established and the short-circuit current of devices processed by CN, oDCB, and CB enhanced gradually.
Journal ArticleDOI

Oriented poly(3-hexylthiophene) nanofibril with the π-π stacking growth direction by solvent directional evaporation.

TL;DR: The uniaxial alignment of poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) nanofibrils with a π-π stacking growth direction in which P3 HT chains adopt a flat-on conformation was obtained by solvent directional evaporation using a glass cover slide and a poly(dimethylsiloxane) sheet to press the P3HT film in a carbon disulfide (CS(2) atmosphere.
