Journal ArticleDOI
Fabrication and properties of an injectable sodium alginate/PRP composite hydrogel as a potential cell carrier for cartilage repair.
Xiang Gao,Liyang Gao,Thomas Groth,Tianfeng Liu,Dongning He,Mingrui Wang,Fan Gong,Jiaqi Chu,Mingyan Zhao +8 more
TL;DR: A novel composite hydrogel composed of sodium alginate and platelet-rich-plasma varying in blending ratios, cross-linked with calcium ions, released from calcium carbonate-D-Glucono-d-lactone (CaCO3 -GDL) was successfully prepared and supported bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells proliferation and their chondrogenesis with up-regulation of chondogenic marker genes Sox9 and Aggrecan.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Mesenchymal Stem Cells and Platelet-Rich Plasma on the Bone Healing of Ovariectomized Rats.
Bo Wei,Chengshuo Huang,Mingyan Zhao,Peng Li,Xiang Gao,Junchao Kong,Yanru Niu,Rui Huang,Juanhua Quan,Jinsong Wei,Jiaqi Chu +10 more
TL;DR: Treatment with PRP combined with allogeneic bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells significantly promotes healing of osteoporotic bone defects and expression levels of osteogenesis-specific marker genes including RUNX2, OSX, and OPN were significantly upregulated in rats treated withPRP and BMSCs compared to those of other groups.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aloin promotes osteogenesis of bone-marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells via the ERK1/2-dependent Runx2 signaling pathway.
Peng Li,Junchao Kong,Zhuming Chen,Shuai Huang,Guihe Lv,Bo Wei,Jinsong Wei,Kaipeng Jing,Juanhua Quan,Jiaqi Chu +9 more
TL;DR: Aloin promotes osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs through activation of the ERK1/2-Runx2 signaling pathway and effectively attenuated Runx2 activation in these cells and also suppressed osteoblastic differentiation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Biomineralization improves mechanical and osteogenic properties of multilayer-modified PLGA porous scaffolds.
Junchao Kong,Bo Wei,Thomas Groth,Zhuming Chen,Lihua Li,Dongning He,Rui Huang,Jiaqi Chu,Mingyan Zhao +8 more
TL;DR: In vitro biocompatibility of PLGA scaffold, in terms of bone mesenchymal stem cells attachment, spreading and proliferation was greatly enhanced by nHAP coating and multilayer deposition, which remarkably improved PLGA surface and mechanical properties.
Journal ArticleDOI
Poly (L-lactic acid) porous scaffold-supported alginate hydrogel with improved mechanical properties and biocompatibility
Jiaqi Chu,Shaodong Zeng,Liyang Gao,Thomas Groth,Zhiwen Li,Junchao Kong,Mingyan Zhao,Lihua Li +7 more
TL;DR: The histological analyses suggested that the composite scaffold substantially promotes its integration in the host tissue accompanied with a low inflammatory reaction and new tissue formation.
