Journal ArticleDOI

Insights into variations on dissolved organic matter of bauxite residue during soil-formation processes following 2-year column simulation.

TL;DR: In this paper, the vertical characteristics of DOM in bauxite residue treated by PV (the combined addition of 2% phosphogypsum and 4% vermicompost, w/w) and BS (6% including 4% bagasse and 2% bran) with 2-year column experiments were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of phosphogypsum and poultry manure on aggregate-associated alkaline characteristics in bauxite residue.

TL;DR: Findings reveal that application of phosphogypsum and poultry manure directly alter the distribution of exchangeable bases and alkaline indicators within residue aggregates, resulting in aggregate size distribution and microstructure variations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of aggregate formation, stability and pore characteristics of bauxite residue following polymer materials addition.

TL;DR: Himic acid-acrylamide polymer could be regarded as an effective ameliorant due to its positive effects on both aggregate stability and pore characteristics, which were helpful for understanding the application potential of natural-synthetic polymers on physical conditions of bauxite residue prior to ecological reconstruction on the disposal areas.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spatial distribution, environmental risks, and sources of potentially toxic elements in soils from a typical abandoned antimony smelting site.

TL;DR: In this paper , a total of 87 samples were collected from an abandoned Sb smelting site to evaluate pollution characteristics and environmental risks of the potentially toxic elements (PTEs).
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluating aggregate stability, surface properties and disintegration behaviour of bauxite residue induced by Ca/Na

TL;DR: In this paper, an integrated method of Le Bissonnais method, the combined determination method, and laser diffraction measurements was applied to evaluate aggregate stability, surface properties and disintegration behavior of bauxite residue following Ca/Na additions.
