Learning relevance from heterogeneous social network and its application in online targeting

TL;DR: This paper proposes a new method for modeling user interest from heterogeneous data sources with distinct but unknown importance, which leverages links in the social graph by integrating the conceptual representation of a user's linked objects and leads to an improvement in the accuracy of the clickthrough rate prediction.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Heterogeneous source consensus learning via decision propagation and negotiation

TL;DR: This paper constructs a belief graph to first propagate predictions from supervised models to the unsupervised, and then negotiate and reach consensus among them, and shows that the proposed method improves the classification accuracy and the clustering quality measure (NMI) over the best base model by up to 10%.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Tensor space model for document analysis

TL;DR: This paper proposes a novel Tensor Space Model for document analysis, which represents documents as the second order tensors, or matrices, and develops a novel indexing algorithm called Tensor Latent Semantic Indexing (TensorLSI), developed in the tensor space.
Book ChapterDOI

A Survey of RFID Data Processing

TL;DR: This chapter will provide a broad overview and survey of a variety of RFID data management, mining and processing techniques, and discuss the privacy and security issues associated with the use ofRFID technology.
