Study on dew point evaporative cooling system with counter-flow configuration

TL;DR: In this paper, an improved mathematical model for a single-stage dew point evaporative cooler in a counter-flow configuration is presented, where longitudinal heat conduction and mass diffusion of the air streams, channel plate and water film, as well as the temperature difference between the plate and film, are accounted for in the model.
Journal ArticleDOI

Modelling and experimental investigation of the cross-flow dew point evaporative cooler with and without dehumidification

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the cooling potential of a cross-flow dew point evaporative cooler under various conditions and found that it is able to achieve improved cooling effectiveness when an appropriate inlet air humidity condition is realized.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermodynamic analysis of a hybrid membrane liquid desiccant dehumidification and dew point evaporative cooling system

TL;DR: In this article, a cross-flow membrane liquid desiccant dehumidifier and a counter-flow dew point evaporative cooler were developed and investigated to achieve sufficient moisture removal and temperature reduction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multivariate scaling and dimensional analysis of the counter-flow dew point evaporative cooler

TL;DR: In this paper, a 2D mathematical model has been developed based on the momentum, continuity, energy and species balance equations for the counter-flow dew point evaporative cooling process, and a new dimensionless model was produced from the general model via scaling analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

On the fundamental heat and mass transfer analysis of the counter-flow dew point evaporative cooler

TL;DR: In this paper, a 2D mathematical model has been formulated to simulate the heat and mass transfer performance of the dew point evaporative cooling (DPEC) and the model agrees well with the acquired experimental data with a maximum discrepancy of ±7.0%.
