Magnetic field sensor using tilted fiber grating interacting with magnetic fluid

TL;DR: A novel magnetic field sensor using tilted fiber Bragg grating interacting with magnetic fluid is proposed and experimentally demonstrated, achieving magnetic field strength measurement within a range of 196 Gauss by monitoring extinction ratio of cladding mode resonance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intensity-modulated magnetic field sensor based on magnetic fluid and optical fiber gratings

TL;DR: In this article, an intensity-modulated magnetic field sensor based on magnetic fluid and optical fiber gratings is proposed and experimentally demonstrated, where the sensor is formed by a tilted-fiber Bragg grating (TFBG) coated by magnetic fluid (MF) and cascaded by a chirped-fibered Bragg Grating (CFBG), and reflected optical power is modulated twice by the magnetic field and measurement is realized in reflection manner.
Journal ArticleDOI

Simple and compact reflective refractometer based on tilted fiber Bragg grating inscribed in thin-core fiber

TL;DR: A simple and compact reflective refractometer based on a tilted fiber Bragg grating inscribed in an ultra-high photon-sensitive thin-core fiber is proposed and experimentally demonstrated.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Magneto-optical fiber sensor based on magnetic fluid surrounded tilted fiber Bragg grating

TL;DR: A novel tilted fiber Bragg grating-based magnetic field sensor by incorporating magnetic fluid is proposed and experimentally demonstrated, based on the refractive index change of magnetic fluid with external magnetic field.
Journal ArticleDOI

Power-referenced refractometer with tilted fiber Bragg grating cascaded by chirped grating

TL;DR: In this article, a power-referenced refractometer operating in reflection mode is proposed and experimentally demonstrated based on a tilted-fiber Bragg grating (TFBG) cascaded by a reflection-band-matched chirped-fibers grating, where the optical signal reflected by the CFBG passes twice through the TFBG that enhances sensitivity of the this article.
