Al2O3 and TiO2 atomic layer deposition on copper for water corrosion resistance.
A. I. Abdulagatov,Y. Yan,Jill Cooper,Yadong Zhang,Zachary M. Gibbs,Andrew S. Cavanagh,Ronggui Yang,Yung-Cheng Lee,Steven M. George +8 more
TL;DR: Al( 2)O(3) and TiO(2) atomic layer deposition (ALD) were employed to develop an ultrathin barrier film on copper to prevent water corrosion and were found to be much more resilient to dissolution in water and prevented the water corrosion of copper.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Micro cryogenic coolers for IR imaging
Ryan Lewis,Yunda Wang,Jill Cooper,Martin Muhong Lin,Victor M. Bright,Yung-Cheng Lee,Peter E. Bradley,Ray Radebaugh,Marcia L. Huber +8 more
TL;DR: Joule-Thomson micro cryogenic coolers (MCCs) are a preferred approach for small and low power cryocoolers as discussed by the authors, and with high frequency MEMS compressors to be developed, its size can be reduced another order of magnitude.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Demonstration of an Integrated Micro Cryogenic Cooler and Miniature Compressor for Cooling to 200 K
Ryan J. Lewis,Mu Hong Lin,Yunda Wang,Jill Cooper,Peter E. Bradley,Ray Radebaugh,Marcia L. Huber,Yung-Cheng Lee +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a J-T-based micro cryogenic cooling system with a miniature compressor for cooling to 200 K using a custom hydrocarbon mixture as refrigerant is presented.
