Design of negative/nearly zero thermal expansion behavior over a wide temperature range by multi-phase composite

TL;DR: In this paper, a new method is put forward to design the wide temperature range of NTE and nearly zero thermal expansion (NZTE) behaviors by NTE/NZTE multi-phase composite.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enhanced thermal stability of Mo film with low infrared emissivity by a TiN barrier layer

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of Mo films, as the infrared reflective layer, were deposited on stainless steel (SS) or glass substrates by DC magnetron sputtering, and the effects of sputtering parameters on crystal structure, surface morphologies, film resistivity, and infrared emissivity of the Mo films were systematically investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Negative thermal expansion, Magnetic and Electronic transport properties in antiperovskite compounds Mn3Ga1-xAgxN (0≤x≤1.0)

TL;DR: In this article, the negative thermal expansion, magnetic and electronic transport properties of Mn3Ga1-xAgxN with antiperovskite structure were systematically investigated, and it was shown that the introduction of Ag in Mn3ga1xAgXN can effectively tune the coefficient of NTE from −232.57 −10−6/K (x = 0, △T = 22 K) to −19.9 −J/(kg·K) with increasing Ag content.
Journal ArticleDOI

Discovery of negative thermal expansion with giant thermal hysteresis in Fe3NiBx

TL;DR: In this paper, the negative thermal expansion (NTE) behavior with giant thermal hysteresis exceeding 450 K has been observed in Fe3NiBx and the introduction of boron can reduce the NTE temperature range and stabilize the high temperature fcc phase.
