Metabolic interventions improve HBV envelope-specific T-cell responses in patients with chronic hepatitis B.

TL;DR: In this article , the effects of metabolic interventions, including mitochondria-targeted antioxidants (MTA), polyphenolic compounds, and ACAT inhibitors (iACAT), on hepatitis B virus (HBV) core and envelope (env)-specific T cell responses using in vitro expanded peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from patients with CHB exhibiting different immunological phases, including immune tolerance (IT), immune activation (IA), inactive carrier (IC), and HBeAg-negative hepatitis (ENEG).
Journal ArticleDOI

CD4+CD19+ conjugates favor HIV-1 infection and latency during chronic HIV-1 infection.

TL;DR: This study indicates that CD4CD19 conjugates actively participate in HIV-1 infection and latency, and may serve as a new cellular target to eliminate latency.
Journal ArticleDOI

Human mesenchymal stem cell therapy in severe COVID-19 patients: 2-year follow-up results of a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors evaluated the safety and efficacy of a mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) treatment administered to severe COVID-19 patients enrolled in their previous randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial (NCT04288102).
