Journal ArticleDOI
Oxidative stress-mediated apoptosis. The anticancer effect of the sesquiterpene lactone parthenolide.
TL;DR: It is found that parthenolide effectively inhibits hepatoma cell growth in a tumor cell-specific manner and triggers apoptosis of hepatoma cells and may be useful chemotherapeutic agents to treat these invasive cancers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cytochrome c Oxidase Subunit III A MOLECULAR MARKER FORN-(4-HYDROXYPHENYL)RETINAMIDE-INDUCED OXIDATIVE STRESS IN HEPATOMA CELLS
TL;DR: Results indicate that down-regulation of CO III, a molecular marker of oxidative stress, may result from upstream ΔΨm disruption and that ligands of ANT may be capable of modulating 4HPR-induced oxidative stress and apoptosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Autophagy regulates inflammation in intracerebral hemorrhage: Enemy or friend?
Kai-Yuan Fu,Weilin Xu,Cameron Lenahan,Yong Mo,Jing Wen,Teng Deng,Qianrong Huang,Fang-Zhou Guo,Ligen Mo,Jun Yan +9 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors explored the mutual regulation of autophagy and inflammation in intra-brachial hemorrhage (ICH) and found that autophagia plays a critical role in the pathology of ICH, and its function remains controversial.
