A semi-analytical scheme to estimate Secchi-disk depth from Landsat-8 measurements

TL;DR: Lee et al. as mentioned in this paper proposed a semi-analytical scheme for remote sensing of the Secchi disk depth (ZSD, m) to obtain high-spatial-resolution map of water clarity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Variability of suspended particulate matter in the Bohai Sea from the geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI)

TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of the Geostationary Ocean Imager (GOCI) for mapping of suspended particulate matter in the Bohai Sea, a turbid water region, is assessed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sensing an intense phytoplankton bloom in the western Taiwan Strait from radiometric measurements on a UAV

TL;DR: In this paper, a low-cost, low-altitude unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was used to assess an intense phytoplankton ( Phaeocystis globosa) bloom in Weitou Bay in the western Taiwan Strait.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-frequency observation of floating algae from AHI on Himawari-8

TL;DR: Hu et al. as discussed by the authors used the Floating Algae Index (FAI) developed for ocean color satellites (Hu, 2009) to process AHI data for the first time and applied for waters of Lake Taihu, China.
