Journal ArticleDOI
Vacancy engineering of the nickel-based catalysts for enhanced CO2 methanation
Minghui Zhu,Pengfei Tian,Xinyu Cao,Jiacheng Chen,Tiancheng Pu,Bianfang Shi,Jing Xu,Jisue Moon,Zili Wu,Yi-Fan Han,Yi-Fan Han +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, a Y2O3-promoted NiO-CeO2 catalyst was proposed and found to exhibit an outstanding methanation activity that is up to three folds higher than NiOCe O2 and six fold higher than NO-Y 2 O3 at mild reaction temperatures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Discriminating the Role of Surface Hydride and Hydroxyl for Acetylene Semihydrogenation over Ceria through In Situ Neutron and Infrared Spectroscopy
Jisue Moon,Yongqiang Cheng,Luke L. Daemen,Meijun Li,Felipe Polo-Garzon,Anibal J. Ramirez-Cuesta,Zili Wu +6 more
TL;DR: Ceria has been used as a hydrogenation catalyst especially in selective alkyne hydrogenation, but the reaction mechanism regarding the role of different surface hydrogen species remains unclear as discussed by the authors. But it has been shown that Ceria can be used for a variety of applications.
